3 types of hair removal

With all the different technologies available to us today, there are many ways to remove your body hair. The question is, are you looking for a permanent solution or just a temporary/quick fix that isn’t too harsh on your bank account? Here are 3 very different, but all effective ways to professionally remove your unwanted hair:

waxing1.Waxing: This technique is a semi-permanent way to remove the hair from its root. There are 2 types of waxing methods: hard wax and soft wax (the strip wax):

Hard wax: This wax is applied, allowed to cool than quickly removed with fingers. No strip is needed. This wax is mostly used for small and sensitive areas, such as upper lip, underarms, eyebrows and bikini. This wax does not stick to the skin, it sticks to the hair only.

Soft wax: This is known as the “strip wax”. It is applied very thinly across the skin, then covered with a strip to remove it. This type of wax is used for large areas such as legs, arms, back or shoulders.

Normally, after a waxing session and depending on the area, your hair should take around 3 to 4 weeks to grow back (hence the “semi-permanent”). Perfect solution if you’re going away for a week or two on holidays and want to keep your body smooth & hairless!

electrolysis-hair-removal-treatment2.Electrolysis: Electrolysis is a method of individual hair removal. It is the only permanent method of hair removal. A very fine probe is inserted into the hair follicle, a small electric charge is administered and the hair is removed by tweezers. Most areas of the body can be treated with electrolysis, including the eyebrows, face, abdomen, thighs, breasts, and legs. There are generally no permanent side effects, but sometimes a temporary, slight reddening of the skin may occur.

To achieve the full results, it can take up to 2 years. First, the client comes in every week, then every 2, 3, 4, etc. It’s a long process and it takes patience, but once you’re done, you’re done!

3.Laser Hair Removal: This will give you a permanent reduction of the amount of hair that you have. Most people start with laser to save time and money, then finish off with electrolysis. Hair follicules are precisely targeted and destroyed using elōs combination of bi-polar radio frequency and light energy (click here to find out more about our technology). Laser seems like an expensive option, but when you think about all the money that you could spend on waxing and electrolysis for years, this method is actually cheaper in the long run.

Every method of hair removal is good, it really depends on what kind of result you are looking for! 🙂
