Most women spend their hard-earned money on beauty products, which is why it’s never fun to see your face cream or your eye serum come to an end. Next thing you know, you’re back at your esthetician’s to purchase your products. A regular AM/PM face cream should last you about 3 months, give or take. However, there are some tricks that you can do to give them an extra stretch!
Here are 3 tips to extend the life of your jars:
- Always apply on a wet skin: This may seem like a silly trick, but applying your cream on a wet skin will make it go a long way. After you cleanse or tone your face, don’t dry your skin. Apply your moisturizer right away! This goes for serums, eye creams and all!
- Exfoliate regularly: If your products feel like they are just “sitting” on your skin, maybe it’s time you invest in an exfoliator. If you already have one, great! Use it! Depending on your skin type and the recommendations of your skin specialist, you should exfoliate 1x to 2x a week. It will take off the superficial dead cells that are just laying there, and your products will definitely penetrate better.
- Get a professional facial every change of season: Now, some people may think that exfoliating and applying moisturizer replaces getting a professional facial. It doesn’t. The regime that you do at home will maintain your skin’s health, but it will not replace that expert advise that you need in the first place to know what you should be doing with your skin. It’s the same reason why we have a gym trainer, a hairdresser, a dentist, a doctor, etc. They are all trained professionals that know how to obtain results in their area of expertise. A beauty therapist will know what to do with your skin and will recommend what they think is best to obtain the results that you need.
In the end, remember that the professional skin therapist is highly & constantly trained to analyse your skin and evaluate its present condition. With the help of advanced equipment technology and active ingredients, they will give you solutions to successfully reach your healthiest skin!
